The pix were taken at the Manassas National Battlefield last August 25th, 2007, in commemoration of the 2nd Battle of Manassas .(2nd Bull Run to the Yankees!)  The humidity was high and temperatures were in the high '90s! This is why many of the pix show the troops without their jackets or tunics.

US Pennsylvania Artillery.  We had a "section" of two guns that day.

5th NY at the 5th NY monument where Hood's Texas Brigade overwhelmed them ,causing them to loose 3/4th of the regiment in about 15 minutes (dead ,wounded,missing) This was the highest number of casualties
suffered by a regiment in that short of time during the entire war.
